The first time I thought about writing a Blog, the first question that came to my mind was, in which language should I write it?
I write properly in Italian & Spanish, and I’m learning English now, living in the USA, even if living in Miami Beach does not help (I was just asking where to find a shoemaker to fix my shoes in my preferred café here in Miami Beach, and I had to use my basic French, because neither the owner or her husband speak English!!! By the way, in French shoe repair shop is “accordonerie”, just learned it!!!
So I began to think about who I want to reach with my writing and made the list of the People I would like to read my blog, friends and family, and the language was obvious: English! ( sorry Bob!!)
Maybe sometimes, when the subject is related to Italy or Venezuela I’ll translate the page, or maybe not!
Anyhow, let’s begin:
My dear twenty eight friends and family (that was the number of friends and family that came out)
First, let me show you one of my latest paintings, a wonderful Florida sunset in an unusual canvas size (for me, used to small and middle size watercolors), 32’ x 32’ orange yellow and green acrylic

And now let me tell you what it is like:
Simple!!!
Living in Miami Beach
Last week end we survived the
SUPERBOWL

And next weekend we will try to survive the
MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW

Well, that’s winter in Miami Beach.
Summer actually is more boring, it’s hot and we spend the day watching the Weather Channel checking to see where one of the HURRICANES will land !!
By the way, next season beginning June 1st will have the following Hurricanes:
Alex
Bonnie
Colin
Danielle
Earl
Fiona
Gaston
Hermine
Igor
Julia
Karl
Lisa
Matthew
Nicole
Otto
Paula
Richard
Shary
Tomas
Virginie
Walter
I’ll have a Hurricane sister in law (Bonnie), a Neice (Julie), a Nephew (Alex), and an ex wife (Danielle)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(If the last one is the big one, we’re gonna laugh for years, if we survive!!)
It’s also interesting that my nephew Alex is graduating from high school and applied to UF-Gainesville. So we’re waiting for “Alex to hit Florida”!! (maybe it’s a sign that he’ll be accepted!)
